Ladies and Gentlemen…

The Beatles!

I’m a big Beatles fan. So when I saw an infographic on Pinterest the other day that said cat people are more likely to think George Harrison was the best Beatle and dog people prefer Paul McCartney? Well, it got me humming.

Then I asked my friends on Facebook what their top five songs are. I got a great variety. And I got some that I forgot were my favorite.

Here’s my top five, in no particular order, in case you’re wondering:

I Will
In My Life
Yesterday
Help
You Can Drive My Car
Blackbird
We Can Work It Out
Here Comes the Sun
Something
Paperback Writer
Hello Goodbye

What? My top five can have as many songs as I want.

As people were giving me their songs, I was treating my ears to music ala YouTube. And then I stumbled upon the tribute concert that was recorded a year after George Harrison’s death. Of course I decided to listen.

Almost immediately, a brown kitten appeared in my lap. He sat there, looking at the computer and listening intently. When they started playing Harrison’s songs Obi started to purr. And he stayed there in my lap for the entire concert.

Cats seem to prefer George Harrison too.

Seriously

Why is this so funny?!

You have got to go check out my Pinterest board. I have the best kitteh pictures from the past couple weeks.

Oliver is laying next to me and every once in a while he licks my side where my sweater has ridden up. I have to say that little kitteh tongue is the most best tickle in the world.

It was cold and snowy today. I had to wear my winter coat for the second time this fall – which is wrong, as it is nearly December. I’m a little afraid of the upcoming winter when it finally gets here.

But cold days mean that I had help with my design work and Facebooking today. Oliver likes to lay next to me, with his elbow on my stomach. He insists on putting his front paws on my laptop. Often, one of those paws hits the trackpad and suddenly my screen zooms WAY in or WAAAAAY out. When that happens I slide my hands under his paw.

He feels like he’s in control. I get some work done.

Does this qualify as micromanagement?

Doodle Thunder

I’ve been out of town at a conference since Saturday. I’m sad to say The Boy reports that Kitten Thunder was less than inspired to do blog-worthy things while I was gone. It goes back to the age old question: If a kitten is cute in the living room but his blogger isn’t there to write about it, does anyone squee?

I made the mistake yesterday of talking to The Boy about his new car when I walked in the door. After five minutes I heard a “ME!” just before Oliver tried to climb me. Yes, Oli, you are the most important man in my life. Absolutely.

So, around Tuesday – judging by the doodles – I really started to miss the boys:

And cows. Evidently I missed cows. And pigs. But mostly cats.

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for paying for that art degree.

It’s Thunder Thursday! Rather than find a friend with a new cat for introduction, I’m shamelessly plugging my Pinterest board. I warn you, bloggy friends, that you should not take entering the Pinterest world lightly. Once you start it is really hard to stop.

It is kind of like the first year of professional Facebooking, when I thought in posts. Composed posts in the car. Carried bar napkins of posts in my purse…just kidding, I don’t carry a purse!

So the Pinterest board made special for Kitten Thunder is this one. The others are my other interests – I do have them, you know. I’m NOT a crazy cat lady. I don’t know if it helps my cause or hurts it that you’ll find out about my Dr. Who and Star Wars obsessions…

On the boards? You’ll see the thinks that make me ooh, or ahh, or giggle. Like this:
